Chill Casting with Aluminum-Bronze
Applications
Our aluminum-bronze alloy is 15% lighter than aluminum-free copper alloys. The stability properties, mating limit and tensile strength are increased by 100% at the same time and are thus in the same range as the best steel grades. Due to their excellent properties, aluminium-bronze alloys are gaining more and more importance in mechanical and device engineering. Whether in the casting of gears or in connection with hybrid constructions, which can even be welded with steel, this alloy is widely used.
Strengths:
- Very high stability values even at high temperatures
- Resistant to neutral and acidic, water-based substances
- Weldable with steel
- Seawater resistant
